1 arm dumbbell overhead press with One Exercise a Day by Kathryn Alexander

The standing 1 arm dumbbell overhead press is great for your shoulder, and to an extent, your whole core. 

To do the 1 arm dumbbell overhead press: 

  • stand tall with your abs and glutes engaged
  • hold one dumbbell at shoulder level
  • tuck your elbow slightly so it is in line with your body and not poking behind you
  • press straight overhead until elbow is straight
  • return to your start position
