Let’s do some shoulder work today!
The lateral raise works your shoulders, and you can make this exercise good work with even the lightest of dumbbells. You could even use no weight.
To do the lateral raise:
- hold a dumbbell in each hand if you have them
- stand tall
- keep your arms straight but not locked
- reach for the sides of the room as you bring the dumbbells to shoulder level
- control the return to the start position
Give me 10-12 here if you are using weights, and 20-30 if you are just using your arms. In this case, don’t quite bring your arms all the way back to your sides.
