Tempo squats 1-1-2025 One Exercise a day by Kathryn Alexander

Tempo squats: timeless, worth the effort, and rewarding; hopefully just like your upcoming year! 🙂

Your first exercise of 2025 is the tempo squat! I love this one! 

  • press elbows toward each other and keep trunk tight and neutral
  • break at the hips to initiate squat
  • sit deep into heels, slowly counting for the appropriate tempo
  • I want you to count ONE MISSISSIPPI, TWO MISSISSIPPI, etc. Not onetwothreedone.
  • squeeze big toe into the ground as you stand

You did it! The first exercise of 2025. Proud of you!
